I love your clips ... But how do they work??
Don't be afraid to experiment with our clips to find the best fit for your child - our clips are made to stand the test of time, they aren't as delicate as they look so don't be afraid to be a bit firm with them.
Snap clips and alligator clips will just clip as you would expect into the hair. However if you don't want these clips to actually hold the hair in place then tie it up and use the clips as an adornment instead much like as we have set out below.
If you are using barrettes, these can be a little trickier to get the hang of and so the following info may help you out a little. We find wearing our clips the following way works well:
Tie the hair with a hair tie (elastic) as you normally would when putting hair into piggy tails or a pony tail. It is a good idea to use a neutral colour so the tie isn’t terribly visible. Then guide the clip through a small section of hair just below the hair tie and clip together.
Using this method means the clip is just an adornment and not there to hold the hair up or in place. The amount of hair each individual child has doesn’t matter so much with this method either as it’s the hair tie that’s holding the hair secure.
If you find a method that works even better for you, please share it with us so we can then share with our customers!
